Great game! Like others have said, the weakest part is the controls, particularly the jumping. That being said, this is my one of my favorite games from the jam so far. Attaching to the moving platforms was a lot of fun, particularly when traversing the tall areas.

Unfortunately the web version doesn’t load.

I liked the aesthetic and the last level was pretty fun. The controls particularly for the mouse were a bit finicky, I don’t know if it had to do with the web environment or not. It felt like there was mouse acceleration or something. Also, I have to ask, is Enzo a ReBoot reference?

Well done, this game was quite fun. I played for far longer than I intended to originally. It was a little hard for me to control whether I hit an enemy with the buff or damage. An interesting mechanic that might be interesting to explore if you work on the game further would be to have mirrors that only reflect buffs or damage.

I liked the game's concept, and I am not really sure if I finished the game or not. As others have stated, just a little more guidance would go a long way.
Great job on submitting a game for the jam!

I really liked this game. It reminded me a bit of the Gnome robots game on some Linux distributions. I found the attack animations and movement quite satisfying.

The main thing that I think could improve the game, if you plan on working on it further, would be to give an indication of the attack/delay on the character possibly in addition to the bar on the bottom of the screen.

This was a really good entry, thanks for posting it!

Fun little game! It really reminds me of the typing games I used to play when I was younger. As others have stated, I think adding some obstacles to fly around (say cannonballs) would be a good addition if you want to push the concept further.

Thanks for trying it! The goal is to get the pirate off of the ship and onto the island, collecting all of the treasure along the way.

That really should have been in the game description, but we forgot to put it there when uploading.

Well, after about 15 minutes of playing my high score was 6... The controls do feel much tighter on the executable version over the web version though.

This is an amazing game! The visuals, while simple, show almost everything I want to see. And the music is perfect.

A few comments small adjustments that I think would make the  game even better (albeit easier, so this might have been a purposeful design choice on your part).

1) Enlarge the field of view slightly. At least to me, the game feels somewhat cramped (particularly the web version) A few times my bullet went off screen and I would teleport to it, only to be hit immediately by an enemy I could not see.

2) Add a visual cue showing whether the bullet has been fired or not. A few times I thought I had recalled my bullet but it was still fired, but off-screen. A small empty hole in the player would serve this purpose well I think.

Great job!

I liked the concept and the aesthetic (especially the music). However I was not able to get very far because, at least on my computer, there was a lot of lag between the input and the player movement. This could just be a side effect of playing a Windows executable in Linux.

I feel like if I did not have the input lag issue, the game would be just as addicting as the dinosaur game in Chrome.

Good Job!

If you don't mind, could you rate the game I helped out with. https://awyxm.itch.io/greedy-pirates-only-one-can-win. It is a really short puzzle platforming game. The goal is to get one of the pirates off of the ship with all of the treasure. Hope you like it.

I am running Linux, so I will try to get your game running in Wine.

This game was excellent! The art and aesthetic of the game was great, and the game-play was very enjoyable. I was sad when it was over. The one thing that I slightly disliked, was that the character felt a little bit "floaty".

I tried both the Windows and Linux versions and the both say that the .pck file is missing. I am very interested in the concept.
